Combine two of Queenstown’s most scenic trails in this delightful, but remote trail ride. Warm-up along the Arrow River Bridges trail, as you zig-zag back and forth over the river taking in the simple beauty of it all.
Stop at the loo with a view if needed and decide if you want to detour down to the famous Kawarau Bungy Bridge, or continue onto the Twin Rivers trail. Here you will experience the rugged landscapes surrounding two of New Zealand’s most iconic and picturesque rivers. A steady climb up Mt Thompson allows for breathtaking views of the whole area.
Finish your ride by crossing two historic bridges as Lake Wakatipu comes into view, once you drop off your bikes at our sister company located at the Queenstown Hilton base you may want to cool off by plunging off the jetty into the crisp, clear water.

What an experience! My fiancé and I did the Gibbston trail to the wineries and it was incredible. Takes about 90 minutes each way or so to complete the trail but it is well worth it. Stunning views of the landscape and rivers. The bridge crossings are hold your breath exciting and the course is easy to follow along. Absolutely would do this again and recommend to all who travel to Queenstown/Arrowrown.
We were extremely lucky to just arrive at Better by Bike in Arrowtown and pick up the last two ebikes for a ride out to the Vineyards and back. Having never ridden one of these modern mountain bikes I really enjoyed the ability to zoom up along in "TURBO" setting engaging the warp drive to get up really steep hills! The experience of cycling on a safe pathway , surrounded by mountains and falling leaves was fantastic. The 20 KM out to the Gibbston valley took us all of the two hours promised and more, as we stopped at every corner to take pictures of the beautiful countryside. Having already visited most of the Wineries in the valley we opted to ride the dangerous-looking Chard vineyard road. It was great...so easy on the ebike and the exhilarating cycle around steep drop corners was fantastic. Then the wine at the end of the two-kilometer road was even better. The return cycle seemed to be twice as fast as the outgoing one, probably due to less photography happening. All in all a wonderful experience. Thanks to Meg at Better by bike for all her help! I cannot recommend this experience enough as it was fantastic. OK, you have to put in a bit of effort but the reward was worth it!

Amisfield is a fantastic location to enjoy fine wine and food. We choose their signature “Trust the Chef” menu with wine match, as it’s a great way to try food and wine that you probably wouldn’t have thought to try.
