Every second of this ride you will be met with glorious alpine vistas. Depart from the Queenstown Hilton Jetty and cruise along the lakeside out to the end of the Kelvin Heights peninsula. Stop and look across the lake at the bustling town centre, before circumnavigating the Kelvin Heights golf course.
This section of the trail is complemented by a series of impressive art sculptures created by local artists. Stop for a swim at the beach, or some fun at the playground and when you get hungry the golf course café will be waiting. This trail is perfect for riders of all ages, bring your kids, friends or even your grandparents! Best day Ever!
Absolutely not! Both of our shops are located conveniently on the trails. The Queenstown trail network is 130km long connecting Queenstown, Kelvin Peninsula, Lake Hayes, Arrowtown, and the Gibbston Wine Region. There are only a few very short sections along sealed back-country and farm roads, however these are very quiet, rural areas with virtually no traffic.
We provide bikes, helmets, maps, backpacks/panniers, and full trail support.
As our rides are not guided, we have included trail support so if you happen to have any issues out on the trails for example a puncture, we are only a phone call away.
Wakatipu Grill is Queenstown’s ultimate lakeside dining destination. Savour New Zealand culinary favourites throughout the day, while taking in the sights of glistening Lake Wakatipu with a magnificent mountain backdrop.
The Boat Shed Cafe & Bistro, located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. Cycle or walk along the Frankton Track or arrive by boat to the Frankton Marina.
Our seasonal menu features the very best, locally sourced produce and we are fully licensed, offering local wines and beers.
