Arrowtown

Chop Shop

Enjoy a great coffee or Bloody Mary and an amazing breakfast before you head out on the trails.

Dudleys Cottage

We are based here. A great spot for coffee, a light breakfast, gold panning and souvenirs made in NZ.

Slow Cuts

Without a doubt our favourite burgers are made here. We recommend the Jack ‘n’ Yack (secret burger not on the menu) and smashed potatoes.

Gibbston

Brennan

Great wines and relaxed atmosphere. Maybe play a bit of petanque while enjoying a glass of wine and cheese board.

Gibbston Cheesery

Great spot for lovers of cheese. Enjoy a platter of cheese with wine tasting to match.

Gibbston Tavern

Probably our favourite family spot for a relaxed lunch. No bookings needed. The wood fired pizza, craft beers and wines go down a treat.

Gibbston Valley Winery

Great spot for a slightly more formal sit-down restaurant option. We recommend having tastings at your table, a bit more personalised. It pays to book here during the summer season as it can get quite busy.

Kinross

Kinross is the must visit location for lovers of great Pinot Noir. They are the official Cellar Door for 5 local boutique wineries. Our favourite Pinot Noir is here, it’s called Wild Irishman. Their Bistro serves fresh, healthy food using seasonal produce. Enjoy a hearty or light lunch, sharing platters or something from the snack menu.

Mt Rosa

This is a beautiful spot to sit up above the Valley while you enjoy great views, great wine and great service. Platters available.

Peregrine

Awesome wine and great staff. The winery specialises in Pinot Noirs but also produces Pinot Gris, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Our favourite wine here is the 2014 Pinot Noir.

Lake Hayes

Akarua and Kitchen by Artisan

Our favourite around the Lake Hayes ride. Great wine and food. Enjoy the beautiful garden setting and the historic cottage. You can’t go wrong.

Amisfield

A great spot to enjoy wine and food. Bookings essential.  We choose their signature “Trust the Chef” menu with wine match, great way to try food and wine that you probably wouldn’t have thought to try.
