A picturesque ride starting from our Queenstown base at the Hilton Jetty, connecting the countryside trail, and the beautiful Lake Hayes. From our base, work your way along the Kawarau river, across the Shotover, and loop around Lake Hayes and back to where you started.
Along the way, you’ll see the majestic mountains of the Wakatipu basin reflected in the glassy water and the earthy tones of the landscape. This ride offers a million and one “Kodak moments”. In the summertime take a picnic and your togs for a dip in the lake, or pop into Amisfield or Akarua winery for some fine wine and cuisine.
As our rides are not guided, we have included trail support so if you happen to have any issues out on the trails for example a puncture, we are only a phone call away.
We provide bikes, helmets, maps, backpacks/panniers, and full trail support.
In Arrowtown there is a free public car-park right by the shop. At the Hilton Jetty you can either use the paid parking option offered by the Hilton, or you can catch the Ferry across the lake from town or the Frankton Marina.
Amisfield is a fantastic location to enjoy fine wine and food. We choose their signature “Trust the Chef” menu with wine match, as it’s a great way to try food and wine that you probably wouldn’t have thought to try.
